The Nurse Training Institute

The Nurse Training Institute (IFSI) is a publish establishment attached to Troyes Hospital Centre and funded by Champagne-Ardenne Regional Council.

The mission of the IFSI is to provide initial training for nurses, which takes place over three years. Each year, the IFSI recruits 100 students through an exam open to baccalaureate-holders and final year pupils, who must however provide proof of success at the baccalaureate to be admitted.
The training leads to a State Diploma allowing the graduate to practise in various treatment sectors: public hospitals, clinics, school medicine, occupational medicine, prevention centres…
The IFSI works in collaboration with all actors in the healthcare system and all healthcare establishments in the department that take on students on internships.

There are various paths of specialisation open to nurses after the State Diploma: anaesthetist nurse (IADE), operating theatre nurse (IBODE), children’s nurse, healthcare executive…

The IFSI’s other missions are provision of initial and continuing training to nursing auxiliaries, documentation and research in the field of nursing, and preparation for the nurse and nursing auxiliary exams.
