The University Centre for Medical Studies

Founded in 1973 to receive students in the final two years of their medical degree, since the medical studies reform in 1984, Troyes University Centre for Medical Studies has taken on postgraduate intern students of general medicine.
In 2008-2009, the centre trained 17 interns, who benefit from theoretical education and an internship in a hospital among practitioners.

As a branch of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, the University Centre for Medical Studies is run by the Troyes University Medical Studies Association, which has the mission of helping general practitioners to train and open practices in Troyes, Aube and more generally the Champagne-Ardenne region.

In 20 years, the centre has trained over 200 general practitioners, of which over 100 finally opened practices in the Aube department. It operates a special reception policy, covering students’ board and lodging costs. Help with travel costs is also possible.
